I’m Juliann, a queer Filipinx designer and artist based in Toronto.
My guiding principles that remain at the heart of everything I am and create, are;
1. Staying curious
2. Being unapologetically authentic.
Keeping these principles at the core of everything I do and create has allowed me to center compassion while constantly finding ways to improve and grow.
I graduated from the University of Waterloo’s Global Business and Digital Arts program in 2024.
Throughout my undergraduate degree, I’ve had the opportunity to explore my creative passions and develop a diverse skill set that has prepared me for a wide range of roles, such as a user experience designer, to social media strategist, and marketing coordinator, which is the position I held last spring at the Cosmetic Brands of North America Group.
I’ve always loved experimenting with various mediums of self-expression, from drawing and painting, to video and photo editing, to makeup and my sense of style. In the past, I’ve run my own Youtube channel for 6 years which amassed over 650K views. I’ve also had my own meme account on Instagram with 30K followers at its peak.
One thing I have always been sure of is my voice. When writing, speaking, and creating in any capacity, I strive to express myself from the heart. I know how rewarding it feels to be seen and heard when consuming other people’s art, and what I desire most is for my work to resonate with people.
Besides design, I really love reading, fashion, music and photography. I am always eager to learn and find any excuse to flex my creative muscles. Let’s connect and create something unique and authentic!
